Este Curso de Verão online de duas semanas é oferecido conjuntamente pelo Escritório da OMPI no Brasil, o Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI) e a Associação Brasileira da Propriedade Intelectual (ABPI), e explorará como a PI e as tecnologias verdes podem impulsionar o crescimento e o desenvolvimento sustentáveis.

O programa desta edição está subdividido em 6 seções, abrangendo: Inovação Sustentável no Sul Global; Tecnologias para Mitigação e Adaptação às Mudanças Climáticas; Estratégias de Transferência de Tecnologia; Técnicas para Avaliação e Valoração de Ativos Intangíveis Sustentáveis; Parcerias Internacionais e Subsídios com Foco em Sustentabilidade; e Bioeconomia, Indicações Geográficas e Vigilância Tecnológica com o Uso de Patentes Sustentáveis.

Programa

O programa consiste em palestras de especialistas renomados na área de PI, bem como estudos de caso e discussões em grupo sobre tópicos selecionados de PI.

As aulas serão online e síncronas através da plataforma Zoom, de segunda a sexta das 9:00 às 12:30 (horário do Rio de Janeiro, UTC-3), ao longo de duas semanas.

As aulas serão ministradas em português e inglês, com interpretação simultânea do inglês-português.

O conteúdo ficará gravado e disponível para os participantes por um período determinado. Estas gravações se destinam a referência posterior. Espera-se que os alunos participem do curso nos horários de aula. Os participantes que tiverem um mínimo de 75% de frequência e forem aprovados na avaliação final receberão um certificado de participação.

Elegibilidade

Esta edição do Curso de Verão será oferecida online para até 200 participantes do mundo todo, especialmente para países de língua portuguesa. O público-alvo são estudantes, pesquisadores, formuladores de políticas públicas, empreendedores, profissionais da área jurídica, gestores de inovação, gestores de núcleos de inovação tecnológica (NIT), profissionais de centros de apoio à tecnologia e inovação (CATI) e qualquer pessoa interessada em explorar o papel da PI na promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável.

Os candidatos devem preferencialmente ter completado com sucesso o Curso Geral de Propriedade Intelectual à distância da OMPI (DL101PBR) antes do prazo de inscrição. Espera-se que os alunos tenham conhecimentos básicos de propriedade intelectual.

Matrícula online

Os candidatos deverão enviar suas inscrições online juntamente com currículos, cartas de motivação e cópias de passaportes (ou carteiras de identidade).

Os candidatos selecionados serão notificados alguns dias após concluído o prazo de inscrição, com instruções para pagamento da taxa de inscrição.

Curriculum

The Summer School program provides an opportunity to senior students, young professionals and government officials to acquire deeper knowledge of intellectual property (IP). As WIPO’s only U.S.-based Summer School, the WIPO-U.S. Summer School program focuses on U.S./American IP law. The 2026 program will take place from June 1 to 12, 2026, virtually and weekdays only, via Microsoft Teams Meetings, and is hosted by IPPI: The IP Policy Institute at the University of Akron School of Law. IPPI is based in Washington, D.C., U.S.A.

The program consists of academic lectures, industry panels, fireside chats, simulation exercises, and group discussions on selected U.S. IP topics. A certificate of participation is awarded to participants who successfully complete the program requirements.

To receive the WIPO certificate of participation, participants are expected to be present and show attendance for at least 80% of the live sessions and take part in discussions and projects. Before applying, applicants should consider the required commitment of 6-8 hours of live sessions between approximately 9:00am-4:00pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) for two weeks. Interested applicants should convert time zones to gauge availability before applying.

Eligibility

The Summer School is open to senior students (graduate and postgraduate students) and young professionals from any field of study or discipline. The program is designed for candidates who wish to obtain deeper knowledge of U.S./American IP law.

There are a limited number of spots, and applicants are encouraged to apply sooner rather than later. Once the program has reached capacity with fully registered applicants (accepted by WIPO and IPPI, and paid with IPPI), registration will close.

If your country is under U.S. sanctions (for example, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine), we regret that we will not be able to accept your application for the 2026 program. This is because you would need a license from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which is a lengthy, involved process that would not be completed in time for June 2026. – Please understand that this general restriction is only due to legal, political, and administrative restrictions not in our control at this time.

Applications to WIPO must be submitted online with résumés, letters of motivation, and copies of passports (or identity cards).

After being accepted, applicants will be directed to finalize registration and payment with the host institution.

Registration fees are payable to IPPI, The University of Akron School of Law upon notification of acceptance from IPPI. They fall into the following categories:

U.S. Law Credit

U.S. Law students interested in taking the course for credit and not already enrolled at Akron Law will need to apply to be a visiting student at Akron Law and register for the course. Программа Летней школы ВОИС предоставляет возможность студентам старших курсов, молодым специалистам, экспертам в области интеллектуальной собственности и представителям органов государственного управления получить более глубокие знания по каждому из аспектов интеллектуальной собственности, а также изучить роль и функции, которые берет на себя Всемирная организация интеллектуальной собственности.

Программа состоит из лекций, тематических исследований, упражнений моделирования и групповой работы по отдельным темам в области интеллектуальной собственности. Такой подход в обучении направлен на применение принципа междисциплинарности.

После успешного окончания курса обучения всем слушателям, выполнившим требования программы обучения, выдается сертификат участника.

Для получения сертификата участникам необходимо присутствовать на не менее чем 80% времени учебной программы, принимать участие в обсуждениях и выполнении проектов. Перед подачей документов слушателям необходимо учитывать свое географическое местонахождение и часовой пояс, чтобы спланировать возможность участия в 6-8 часовых сессиях обучения.

Формат летней школы

Для удобства слушателей обучение в Летней школе ВОИС в Республике Беларусь в 2026 году будет проводиться в гибридном формате (виртуально на платформе Zoom и с присутствием в учебной аудитории).

Curriculum

The Summer School program provides an opportunity to senior students, young professionals and government officials to acquire deeper knowledge of each domain of intellectual property (IP) and of the role and functions of WIPO.

The WIPO-CIPPM Summer School program will take place virtually only via Zoom Meetings, hosted by the Centre for Intellectual Property, Policy and Management (CIPPM) Bournemouth University (BU), UK.

The program consists of lectures, case studies, simulation exercises and group discussions on selected IP topics, with an orientation towards the interface between IP and other disciplines.  A certificate of participation is awarded to participants who successfully complete the program requirements. To receive a certificate of participation, participants will be expected to be present (present through a combination of video, audio, and group discussion) for no less than 80% of these live sessions and take part in discussions and projects.

Before applying, applicants should consider the required commitment to 6-hour day (10 am to 4 pm British Standard Time (BST)) with a lunch break in-between.

A further hour (4 – 5 pm BST) will be available optionally to students from Tuesday 2 June to Thursday 11 June, following the live sessions, should they wish to further discuss their topics with the relevant tutors in general or in preparing their Group Reports for presenting on the final day.

Eligibility

The Summer School is open to senior students (graduate and postgraduate students) and young professionals from any field of study or discipline. The program is designed for candidates who wish to obtain deeper knowledge of IP law. Applicants who are more senior in their field of IP law may find the WIPO-CIPPM Summer School less challenging but are still welcome to apply.

There are a limited number of spots, and applicants are encouraged to apply sooner rather than later. Once the program has reached capacity with fully registered applicants (accepted by WIPO and CIPPM and paid with BU), registration will close.

Escuela de Verano de la Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI), a celebrarse en la Ciudad de México.

La Escuela de Verano de la OMPI en Propiedad Intelectual (PI) de México se llevará a cabo del 1 al 10 de junio de 2026, con la colaboración del Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (IMPI), Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Azcapotzalco (semana 1) y la Universidad Panamericana (semana 2).

Esta edición se realizará en formato híbrido, a fin de continuar acercando a los usuarios al conocimiento de la propiedad intelectual.

El programa de cursos de verano de la OMPI está ideado para ofrecer a estudiantes de nivel universitario superior, nuevos profesionales y usuarios del sistema en México la oportunidad de profundizar en cada ámbito de la propiedad intelectual y en el papel y las funciones de la OMPI, así como para conocer los avances desarrollados por el IMPI en los servicios que brinda.

Programa
La edición 2026 de nuestro programa en México se realizará en idioma español, el tema central será “La Propiedad Intelectual en el Deporte” y el programa consiste en conferencias a cargo de expertos y reconocidos profesionales del ámbito de la propiedad intelectual.

Al término del programa se otorgará un certificado digital de participación, siempre que se cumplan con los lineamientos aprobatorios.

Condiciones para participar en el Curso

Este Curso de Verano está dirigido a estudiantes de grado académico de nivel superior (licenciatura o posgrado) o nuevos profesionales, en cualquier campo de estudio o disciplina.

Para un mayor provecho del curso es recomendable, aunque no obligatorio, contar con el Curso general de enseñanza a distancia de la OMPI sobre propiedad intelectual (DL101).

Los participantes correrán con los gastos personales en que puedan incurrir para su participación en el programa.

Cada candidato deberá completar el formato de registro disponible y adjuntar en formato electrónico una identificación oficial vigente, un breve currículum vitae y una carta de motivación.

Los candidatos seleccionados serán notificados sobre su admisión.

The program is delivered through a combination of lectures, case studies, simulation exercises, and group discussions covering selected IP topics.

Conditions for the grant of the Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation is awarded to participants who successfully fulfil the program requirements.  To be eligible, participants must attend all sessions and actively participate in discussions and group projects.  

Applicants are strongly encouraged to carefully consider the level of commitment required before applying to the Summer School.

Eligibility

The Summer School is open to senior undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young professionals, from all academic and professional backgrounds.  The Summer School is designed for candidates seeking to gain a deeper understanding of IP.

Online Registration

Applications must be submitted online and must include a résumé, letters of motivation, and copies of passports (or identity cards).

Registration Fees

Registration fees are payable to the University of Geneva (UNIGE) upon notification of acceptance.  Fees are structured as follows:

1. students from developing countries and countries in transition: CHF 250;
2. young professionals from developing countries and countries in transition: CHF 350;
3. students from developed countries:  CHF 750; and
4. young professionals from developed countries: CHF 1000.

Payment of the registration fees within the given time frame specified by UNIGE confirms the participant’s formal registration for the Summer School.

Please note that the applicable fee category is determined by the applicant’s country of domicile, not nationality.  Applicants are required to formally certify that the country of domicile indicated in their application is accurate.

GSS Payment Regulation

Tuition fees are as published on the website and must be paid exclusively via the online payment system, in Swiss Francs (CHF).

Fees must be settled within the deadline specified by GSS Office and no later than one month prior to the start date of the Summer School.  Failure to make payment within the prescribed period may result in cancellation of admission, with the place being reassigned to another applicant.  
 
The amount of the tuition fees is indicated on the website and in the admission email.  A non-refundable administrative fee of CHF 100 is included in the tuition fees.
 
Cancellation by the Participant

In the event that a participant cancels his/her enrolment, interrupts participation or withdraws from the Summer School  prematurely, the following conditions apply:
 
Cancellation more than four weeks prior to the start of the Summer School:  50% of the full Course fee will be charged, in addition to the non-refundable administrative fee of CHF100;
 
Cancellation within four weeks of the start date or during the Summer School:  Tuition fees including administrative fee, are non-refundable.

Программа Летней школы открывает участникам доступ к углубленному и практико-ориентированному пониманию ключевых направлений интеллектуальной собственности (ИС). Это возможность не только систематизировать знания, но и увидеть, как ИС работает в реальной экономике, инновациях и креативных индустриях, а также лучше понять роль и деятельность ВОИС на международной арене.

Программа обучения

Обучение построено как сочетание теории и практики: лекции ведущих экспертов, разбор кейсов, имитационные упражнения и групповые дискуссии. Особое внимание уделяется взаимосвязи ИС с другими отраслями - технологиями, бизнесом, наукой и креативной сферой. Такой формат позволяет участникам не только усвоить материал, но и применить его на практике.

Участникам, успешно выполнившим требования программы, выдается сертификат об участии.

Формат

Летняя школа пройдет в гибридном формате:
1 неделя (очно с 15 по 19 июня)
2 неделя (онлайн с 22 по 26 июня)

Условия выдачи сертификата об участии

Сертификат ВОИС выдается участникам, успешно завершившим программу. Для этого необходимо:
- присутствие на всех занятиях;
- активное участие в дискуссиях и групповых проектах.

Перед подачей заявки кандидатам рекомендуется внимательно ознакомиться с условиями участия в Летней школе.

Прием заявок

Летняя школа ориентирована на студентов старших курсов (магистрантов и аспирантов), а также молодых специалистов из различных областей. Программа предназначена для кандидатов, уже имеющих базовое представление об интеллектуальной собственности.

Рекомендуется прохождение дистанционного Общего курса ВОИС по ИС до завершения регистрации. При отборе приоритет будет отдаваться кандидатам, прошедшим данный курс.

Онлайн-регистрация

Для участия необходимо предоставить:

- резюме;

- мотивационное письмо (с описанием целей участия и ожидаемых результатов);

- подтверждение гражданства (копия паспорта или удостоверения личности).

Регистрационные взносы

Оплата производится в РГП «Национальный институт интеллектуальной собственности» Комитета по правам интеллектуальной собственности Министерства юстиции Республики Казахстан (Kazpatent) после получения уведомления о зачислении.

Размер регистрационного взноса:

i. студенты из развивающихся стран и стран с переходной экономикой: 50 USD;
ii. молодые специалисты из развивающихся стран и стран с переходной экономикой: 100 USD;
iii. студенты из развитых стран: 100 USD;
iv. молодые специалисты из развитых стран: 150 USD.

Прекращение участия в программе со стороны участника

В случае отказа от участия:
- более чем за 4 недели до начала - оплачивается 50% стоимости курса;
- менее чем за 4 недели до начала или во время программы - оплата не возвращается.

Curriculum

The program comprises lectures, case studies, simulation exercises, and group discussions covering a wide range of IP topics. Emphasizes is placed on the interaction between IP and other disciplines, providing participants with a multidisciplinary perspective.

Conditions for the grant of the certificate of participation

Participants who successfully meet the program requirements, will be awarded a certificate of participation. This requires participants to attend at least 90% of the sessions.  To ensure an interactive learning environment, participants are expected to keep their cameras on throughout the Summer School and actively participate in discussions, etc.

Applicants are encouraged to carefully consider the time commitment and level of engagement before applying.

Registration Fees

The registration fee for this Summer School has been fully waived, making this opportunity accessible to all selected participants. 

Eligibility

The Summer School is open to senior students (graduate and postgraduate) and young professionals from any field of study or discipline. The program is designed for individuals who already possess a foundational understanding of IP.

All applicants are required to have successfully completed the WIPO Academy eLearning General Course on Intellectual Property before the start of the program. Please note that priority will be given to individuals who have completed this course during the selection process.

Curriculum

The WIPO–China (ECUPL) Summer School on Intellectual Property (“Summer School”) offers participants a valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge across various domains of intellectual property (IP) and to gain insight into the role and functions of WIPO. The program is particularly suited to students, young professionals, and government officials with an interest in IP, including emerging and cutting-edge areas of the field. This year marks the 10th edition of the Summer School, and ECUPL will host a special anniversary ceremony during the program to celebrate the occasion, bringing together distinguished guest lecturers and esteemed alumni.

The curriculum comprises lectures, case studies, simulation exercises, and group discussions, providing both theoretical and practical perspectives. Participants will take part in a moot court session, presided over by senior judges from Chinese courts, or a moot arbitration hearing conducted by an experienced arbitral tribunal.

Format

The Summer School will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either:

• Onsite at the ECUPL campus in Shanghai, China; or
• Online via Zoom.

While both options are available, onsite participation is strongly encouraged, as only onsite participants will be able take part in the two-day field visit in Shanghai.

Please note that onsite participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses. ECUPL will provide logistical support, including information on nearby accommodation (including budget-friendly options) and access to campus cafeterias at participants’ own expense.

Onsite participants will also benefit from field visits to leading companies in the sports and gaming industries, AI firms, judicial institutions, and top law firms in Shanghai, offering valuable exposure to real-world applications of IP.

Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the program requirements. To qualify, participants must attend at least 80% of the sessions and actively engage in discussions and group activities.

Insurance and Medical Examination

Onsite participants are required to obtain medical insurance valid in China covering the full duration of their stay, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China. They will also be required to present a medical certificate upon arrival.

Registration fees are payable to ECUPL via bank transfer upon notification of acceptance. They fall into the following categories:

Programa: El curso OMPI-UNBOSQUE sobre Gestión de Propiedad Intelectual (GPI) y Transferencia de Tecnología en el Sector Salud ofrece una visión general del papel estratégico de la PI en la innovación en salud en América Latina. El programa aborda temas como patentes en los sectores farmacéutico y biotecnológico, estrategias de PI para tecnologías médicas, software y salud digital, así como la protección de la innovación en ciencias de la vida. También analiza la gestión de PI en empresas (incluidas startups), universidades, hospitales y centros de investigación, junto con procesos de transferencia de tecnología, licenciamiento y comercialización de innovaciones en salud. Las sesiones serán impartidas por expertos nacionales e internacionales e incluirán conferencias, estudios de caso, discusiones interactivas y visitas académicas a instituciones de innovación en salud.

Modalidad, fecha y lugar: Programa presencial del 19 al 30 de octubre de 2026 (lunes a viernes, de 9:00 a 16:00), en Bogotá, Colombia, en el Centro de Innovación (HUB iEX) de la Universidad El Bosque.

Elegibilidad: Profesionales e investigadores de América Latina interesados en PI, innovación y transferencia de tecnología en el sector salud. Los participantes son responsables de sus gastos de viaje a Bogotá, alojamiento y manutención durante el programa.

Certificado de participación: Los participantes que asistan a todas las sesiones y participen activamente en las discusiones y ejercicios recibirán un certificado emitido por la OMPI.

Seguro médico: Los participantes deberán presentar un certificado médico a su llegada. Aquellos que no residan en Colombia recibirán cobertura de seguro por parte de la OMPI durante su estadía relacionada con su participación en el programa.

Registro en línea y costos de inscripción: Las postulaciones deben presentarse en línea a través de la OMPI e incluir un resumen del perfil profesional, carta de motivación y copia del pasaporte o documento de identidad. El pago de la inscripción se realizará directamente a la Universidad El Bosque una vez recibida la notificación de aceptación por parte de la OMPI. El costo de inscripción es de COP 1.800.000 (aproximadamente USD 450).

Política de cancelación: La inscripción solo podrá cancelarse por motivos excepcionales hasta el 30 de septiembre de 2026. En estos casos, los participantes recibirán un reembolso del 80% del valor pagado. Después de esta fecha, no se realizarán reembolsos.

Program: The WIPO–UNBOSQUE Course on Intellectual Property (IP) Management and Technology Transfer in the Health Sector provides an overview of the strategic role of IP in health innovation in Latin America. The program covers topics such as patents in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, IP strategies for medical technologies, software, and digital health platforms, and the protection of innovation in the life sciences. It also examines IP management across different actors in the health sector, including companies (including startups), universities, hospitals, and research centers, as well as processes of technology transfer, licensing, and commercialization of health innovations. Sessions will be delivered by national and international experts and will include lectures, case studies, interactive discussions, and academic visits to health innovation institutions.

Modality, Date and Venue: In-person program from October 19 to 30, 2026 (Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00), in Bogotá, Colombia, at the Innovation Center (HUB iEX) of Universidad El Bosque.

Eligibility: Professionals and researchers from Latin American countries interested in intellectual property, innovation, and technology transfer in the health sector. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses during the program.

Certificate of Participation: Participants who attend all sessions and actively participate in discussions and exercises will receive a certificate issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Medical Insurance: Participants must present a medical certificate upon arrival. Those who are not residents of Colombia will receive insurance coverage from WIPO during their stay related to the program.

Online Registration and Fees: Applications must be submitted online to WIPO and include a professional profile summary, letter of motivation, and copy of passport or national identification document. Payment will be made directly to Universidad El Bosque after acceptance notification from WIPO. The registration fee is COP 1,800,000 (approximately USD 450).

Cancellation Policy: Registration may only be cancelled for exceptional reasons no later than September 30, 2026. In such cases, participants will receive an 80% refund. After this date, no refunds will be granted.
