WIPO's Accessible Books Consortium Course
WIPO’s Accessible Books Consortium (ABC) offers online courses in how to produce books in accessible formats such as digital braille, audio and e-text. Accessible format copies of books can benefit persons who are blind, have low vision, are dyslexic or have mobility impairments that impact their ability to read the printed word. According to a 2017 study published in The Lancet, approximately 253 million people are blind or visually impaired world-wide.
All ABC online courses are accessible to people who are print disabled. The course platform is inclusively designed, with navigable lesson content, accessible quizzes, described images and captioned videos. The following course is currently open to all free of charge.
