Course Description

The DL-730 Executive Course on Intellectual Property (IP) addresses the common challenges faced by exporters and export agency workers in practice, within the Latin American and Caribbean region. Through the use of real-world, situational, case examples the course raises awareness of the importance of IP to the exporting process. It provides functional tools to help industry insiders identify and secure solutions to key issues, with a view to better understanding how to harness IP to safeguard their exported products and services.

Currently offered in English, Spanish and Portuguese, this practical course may also be used as a precursor to further advanced study in the field of IP, on IP and Export-related topics, at a deeper level.

Checklists for Exporters and Export Agency Workers 1 WEEK IN PARALLEL WITH MODULE 5

Throughout the course Exporters and Export Agency Workers will, each, develop a practical checklist of activities that is customized to their individual export environment. The checklist will be finalized upon the conclusion of Module 5 as a functional, take-away, tool to aid Exporters and Export Agency Workers in professional practise.

Sample certificate

FINAL EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATE

A final examination will be conducted at the end of the course. Participants must respond to a series of questions within a fixed amount of time and submit their answers on the WIPO online platform.

An electronic WIPO certificate will be awarded to those who successfully pass the final examination, i.e. secure a grade of 50% or higher in the exam.

Holders of this WIPO certificate may be eligible for advanced training from WIPO.
